Having spent the past forty years as a professional advertising photographer, it’s probably unsurprising that my library pictures are geared towards commerce.

This approach helps sell images to newspapers, book publishers and television but I believe there is still a place for aesthetic considerations.

Even the most relevant subject matter can be made more desirable with good composition and lighting.

Mine is a relatively small collection, having taken second place to my commercial work but it is growing steadily. To this end, I am constantly on the lookout for unusual subjects to photograph.
